From the Pastor

Andrew

This year I became a grandparent for the very first time. I am loving being  a Poppa and having moko      is very special and a wonderful privilege.

This also means that I have held a baby in my arms once again and have spent lots of time looking at baby photos. Babies are wonderful and beautiful, but they also need us to care for them and look after them. When a baby is young, they need us to do almost everything for them.

This made me think of the awesomeness of Jesus being born as a baby.  The Bible tells us that Jesus is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being. It was through Jesus that God created the universe - Jesus existed before time began.  Yet  Jesus gave that up, being born as a baby, becoming helpless and needing Mary and Joseph to look after him. He become limited to a human body, with a human mind and human abilities.

Jesus did that for us, so that through his birth, death and resurrection we would be able to be made right with God. That is something that is worth celebrating.

Come and join us on Christmas Day or any Sunday and find out more.
